Agape Social Worker, Lori, supported one of our selfless foster parents and helped build a relationship that will last a lifetime! It happened because of generous donors like you.

Our goal is to raise $150,000 by December 31 so we are able to put a Master’s level social worker, like Lori, in the homes of 30 kids this next year. YOU can help! With a $75,000 gift match your donation has double the impact.

Lori received a call for baby Louise, who was only 4 days old and was in the hospital needing a safe and loving home. She was born addicted to drugs and was going to need a significant amount of care to get through the next few weeks as the drugs left her little body. Lori immediately thought Agape foster mom Marie would be a great fit to care for Louise during this very difficult time.

Marie fell in love with Louise instantly and was so patient with her as she went through withdrawals. Swaddling her to help with the shaking, staying up all night rocking and holding her, helping her throughout the day and making sure she was as comfortable as possible. As you can imagine they grew a very close bond.

Louise had a grandmother, Sharon, who wanted Louise to come live with her. The judge agreed it would be a good home for baby Louise, so Sharon started the foster parent certification process.

Our goal with fostering is always reunification with healthy birth families but that does not make it any easier when a child leaves a foster home. Marie was very emotional as anyone would be, but Lori was right there with her walking her through each step. She taught her about the reunification process and helped ease her anxieties.

With Lori’s help Marie and Sharon started to have contact and began to bond over their love for Louise. Louise has been home with Sharon for two months and is thriving. Sharon and Marie are in close contact and consider each other family now.

As you can imagine providing this support comes at a cost. Having a Master’s level social worker in the home for each foster child each week is a large expense. We would never settle for less than that level of care and support for these kids and families.

We are so thankful for Agape social workers that help guide our foster families through all the ups and downs of fostering. Lori was in Marie’s home each week supporting her, educating her on what to expect, being a safe place to vent and share her feelings.

This is where YOU can help! Will you help us reach our year-end goal of raising $150,000, allowing us to provide a social worker in the homes of 30 kids this next year and all the life-saving work of Agape Villages? That is 30 lives that will be forever impacted because of your generous giving.

Double the number of kids that you help.

Here’s the great news, you do not have to do it alone! We have generous donors who want to match your donation dollar for dollar!! Help us raise $75,000 so that, with the match, we will reach our goal of $150,000.

These kids need you and I know you want to help. Please make a donation and make a difference in the lives of not only the kids but their families. I know people like Marie and Sharon are forever thankful for donors like you!

Thank you for your ongoing compassion to the children at Agape and for your generous tax-deductible donation.

Merry Christmas!

P.S. Please help us meet our goal by December 31, so we do not lose one dollar of the gift match!
